SCTCC CYCLONES 20            SCHENECTADY COUNTY C. C. DUCKS 0  (5 Innings)

 

The Cyclones broke a game open with 14 runs in the top of the fifth; to end the game by way of the ten run rule.  They collected a total of 16 hits in their 20 to 0 shutout on Saturday at McKeel Academy in Florida. They are a community college from New York. Justin Mohs, a sophomore right hander from St. Cloud Tech High School, started on the mound, he threw 5 innings to earn the win. He gave up just 3 hits, he didn't issue any walks and he recorded eleven strikeouts. Hunter Malachek was one of the Cyclone's offensive leaders, the freshman from Maple Lake High School went 3-4 with a double for 3 big RBI's, a stolen base and he scored 3 runs. Jose Rosario a sophomore from Manati, Puerto Rico went 2-2 with a double for 4 big RBI's and he scored 2 runs. Carlos Reyes a sophomore from Miami, Florida went 2-3 with a home run for 3 big RBI's and he scored 2 runs. Cole Wellman a freshman from New Ulm High School went 1-2 with 3 big RBI's and Ethan Carlson a sophomore from Apollo High School went 2-2 with a RBI and he scored 2 runs. Larry Rodriquez a freshman from LaBelle High School in Florida went 1-2 with a RBI, he earned a walk and he scored 3 runs and Luis Massa Ortiz a freshman from San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico went 1-2 with a sacrifice fly for a RBI. Conner Hammerback a freshman from Alexandria High School earned a pair of walks and he scored 2 runs and Alex Jinkins a sophomore from Altoona, Wisconsin went 1-2 with a walk, a stolen base and he scored a run. Brady Burgau a freshman from Alexandria High School went 1-1 and he scored a run and Keegan Lessard a freshman from Fort Bend Christian Academy of Texas went 1-1 and he earned a walk. Logan Aleshire a freshman from St. Cloud Tech High School earned a pair of walks and he scored 2 runs and Austin Dufner a freshman from Rocori High School earned a walk and he scored a run. Zach Fuecker a sophomore from Sauk Rapids was credited with a RBI by way of a fielder's choice and Matt Quade a sophomore from Paynesville earned a walk. Nathan Pereira a freshman from Westwood Christian, Miami, FL went 1-2 and Kevin Rodriquez a sophomore from Caguas, Puerto Rico scored a run.

 

 

 

The Cyclones put up 8 runs in their first at bat to take a early commanding lead. Brady Burgau a right hander from Alexandria started on the mound, he threw 4 1/3 innings, he did issue 6 walks, no runs and he recorded 7 strikeouts, to earn the win. Oti Felix Figueroa,  a freshman right hander from Manuela Toro Morice High School of Puerto Rico thew 2/3 of an inning, he gave up 2 hits, no runs, issued one walk and he recorded a strikeout. Keegan Lessard a freshman right hander from Missouri City, Texas threw 2 innings in relief, he gave up 2 walks and he recorded 2 strikeouts. The Cyclones collected 11 hits, one of their offensive leaders was Luis Massa Ortiz a freshman from Republic of CR High School of Puerto Rico, he went 2-5 with a home run for 4 big RBI's, he scored 2 runs and he had a stolen base. Alex Jinkins went 1-4 with a double for 2 big RBI's and he scored a run. Logan Aleshire from St. Cloud Tech went 1-3 with a double for a RBI and he scored a run. Cole Wellman from New Ulm went 1-1 with a double and he scored a run and Kevin Rodriquez went 2-2 and he scored a run. Matt Johnson from Sauk Rapids went 1-2 and he scored a run and Zach Fuecker of Sauk Rapids was credited with a RBI, he walked and he scored a run. Hunter Malachek from Maple Lake went 1-3 with a walk, he scored a run and he had a stolen base. Matt Quade went 1-3 and he scored a run and Jose Rosario from Manati, Puerto Rico went 1-2. Carlos Reyes from Miami, Florida earned a walk, he scored a run and he had a stolen base, Connor Hammerback from Alexandria earned a walk and he scored a run and Ethan Carlson of St. Joseph scored a run.
