Cyclones split with Rowan Gloucester to close out Spring Trip

The Cyclones collected ten hits in their 8-7 win over Rowan College in Lake Myrtle, Florida on Sunday. Austin Gohl a freshman from Sartell High School started on the mound, he threw 5 1/3 innings. He surrendered 8 hits, 7 runs, issued one walk and he recorded six strikeouts. Christian Delgado a sophomore from Colegio Hector Urdaneta, Puerto Rico, he threw 1 2/3 innings to earn the win, he gave up a hit and he record 4 big strikeouts. Larry Rodriquez a freshman from Labelle High School of Florida was one of their offensive leaders, he went 2-3 with a double for 2 big RBI's, he earned a walk and he scored 2 runs. Logan Alesire a freshman from St. Cloud Tech High School had a big game, he went 2-3 with 3 RBI's and he earned a walk. Carlos Reyes a sophomore from Hialeah High School of Florida went 2-3 with a RBI. Matt Quade a sophomore from Paynesville High School went 1-3 with a double for one RBI, he earned a walk and he scored 3 runs. Zach Fuecker a sophomore from Sauk Rapids High School went 1-2, he earned a pair of walks and he scored 2 runs. Alex Jinkins a sophomore from Altoona High School High School of Wisconsin went 1-4 and Ethan Carlson a sophomore from St. Cloud Apollo went 1-3 and he scored a run.

 

 

The Roadrunners of Rowan College, Mt. Laurel, New Jersey leading hitters included Alex Gattinelli, he went 3-4 with 3 RBI's and he scored 2 runs. Jack Sean Went 2-4 with 2 RBI's and Dillon Tassi went 2-2 with 2 RBI's and he walked and scored a run. Starting pitcher Connor Coyle went 4 innings, he gave up 4 hits, 2 runs, 4 walks and he recorded on strikeout. The pitcher of record, Mike Biasiello threw 2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, 6 runs, 2 walks and he recorded 5 strikeouts.

The Cyclones dropped a close game to the Roadrunners, as they were out hit 9-8 in this close game. Brad White a freshman from Alief Hastings High School of Houston, Texas started on the mound, the right hander threw 4 1/3 innings. He gave up 10 hits, 3 runs, issued one walk and he record four strikeouts, he was the pitcher of record. Benjamin Neuron a freshman from Christian Military Academy of Vega Alta, Puerto Rico threw 1 2/3 innings in relief, he gave up 2 hits, issued no walks, surrendered on e run and he record one strikeout. Luis Massa Ortiz the Cyclones center fielder went 2-4 with a double and he scored a run. Zach Fuecker the Cyclones left fielder had a good game, he went 2-4 with a RBI. The Cyclones third baseman, Carlos Reyes went 1-3 with a RBI and a stolen base. Alex Jinkins the Cyclones catcher went 1-2 and he scored a run and Logan Aleshire the DH went 1-3 and Nathan Pereira the Cyclones shortstop went 1-2.

 

The Roadrunners starting pitcher, Derek Waheley threw 5 2/3 innings to earn the win. He gave up 6 hits, 2 runs and he recorded seven strikeouts. Jack Sloan was one of their offensive leaders, he went 2-2 with a double for 2 RBI's. Alex Gattinelli went 2-3 with a home run and Dillon Tassi went 2-3 with a RBI and he scored a run.
