Racine Earns Early Honor

The MCAC released its first pair of Player of the Week honorees this week and Cyclone guard Eric Racine took home the early honor.

The Cyclones (3-0) are coming off a stretch in which they played 3 games in 4 days, all of which were played away from home.  Racine, a Park Center HS grad, came off the bench to spark his team in a pair of season-opening wins for St. Cloud Technical & Community College this past weekend at the Anoka-Ramsey Classic.  In 56 minutes of action over the two games, Eric had 45 points and hauled in ten rebounds.  He dished out ten assists to his teammates, and picked up seven steals.   In the second game of the weekend, against Madison College (WI), Racine gathered an offensive rebound in traffic and tied the game by making a layup with 0.2 seconds to play in regulation.  The Cyclones went on to win in overtime, 104-99.

SCTCC plays on Wednesday, November 21 at home vs Central Lakes College.
