Hot Shooting Leads To Another Cyclones Win

The #5 ranked SCTCC Cyclones hosted M State Fergus Falls on Wednesday evening and came away with a 104-74 victory.  Coming into the game the Cyclones were a perfect 15-0 on the season and had just returned from an 80-63 road victory at Rochester CTC on Monday.

The jumped out to an early lead in the first half sparked by sophomore guards Eric Racine and Paul Coleman.  Together they tallied 40 of the Cyclones 60 first half points.  Racine hit 4 of 5 from beyond the arc and Coleman 3 of 4 from distance.  Sophomore Daniel Gardner also had a hot hand as he hit 2 first half three pointers against the Spartans.  Overall the team shot 64.9% from the floor and 52.9% from the three point line.

Using a 16-5 run over the first 5 minutes to begin the second half, the Cyclones built the lead to 36 points.  All 13 Cyclones would see significant time in the game with freshman guard Michael Asbury leading the way with a season high 9 points off the bench.  Box Score

The Cyclones hit the road again this Saturday with a 2pm game versus Anoka Ramsey.
