Cyclones Win Two On The Road
The MCAC Crossover weekend sent the SCTCC Cyclones on the road for two games this past weekend. The first game of the inter-division play had the Cyclones traveling to Cloquet, MN to play Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College.
The game opened up a little slow for the Cyclones, as they trailed 5-0 early on, but once they found their groove defensively the offense picked up as well. The Cyclones, ranked #6 in the most recent NJCAA poll, forced 31 first half turnovers and built a 58-26 halftime lead. Sophomore Paul Coleman led the way with 9 steals in the first half. He would eventually tally 11 steals in the game which is a new SCTCC record, topping the previous mark of 7 held by Levi Hunt.
The second half saw the visitors keep their distance on the scoreboard as all 13 players saw time on the court. The 93-63 final score marked the 8th win of the season for the Cyclones. Box Score

Sophomore's Eric Racine and Torez Kinchen led the way with 10 points a piece for the Cyclones. CLC built an 8 point lead early on in the second half, but the Cyclones remained within reach. With 4 minutes remaining, Kinchen connected on two free throws to tie the game at 71 all.
