Cyclones up to #4, Mathiasen named Setter of the week
Coming off a 3-1 week which included MCAC Victories over Ridgewater and Western Tech, the Cyclones Volleyball team move up the rankings to #4 in the latest NJCAA Division III poll. The Cyclones, now 11-3, sit a top the MCAC South at 4-0, face a big week of competition as they host M State Fergus Falls Wednesday Night and Anoka Ramsey on Friday night. Both matches will be played at Whitney Recreation Center and begin at 6:30pm.
Individually, Sophomore Kalli Mathiasen (St. Cloud Apollo) was named MCAC Southern Division Setter of the Week. Mathiasen tallied 136 sets for the Cyclones last week helping them go 3-1. In addition, Kalli had 6 service aces, 38 digs, 7 kills, and 5 Block Assists. This is the second consecutive week that Mathiasen has earned setter of the week honors.
