Schroeder named MCAC Player of the Week

SCTCC Cyclone Volleyball player Chelsea Schroeder was named the MCAC Southern Division Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 26.

Schroeder has been an important part of the Cylcones' strong showing in September. As a sophomore in the Conference, the Cold Spring native racked up 36 digs and 5 service aces over the past week. Schroeder, a libero who competed at ROCORI high school, sparked SCTCC to a 2-0 week in MCAC play, including a 3-0 shutout of Anoka-Ramsey and a tightly contested 3-2 battle against M State.

The Cyclones remain the only unbeaten Southern Division squad and will put their 6-0 divisional mark on the line as they head into a mid-week match against Rochester CTC for a key contest at 6:30 p.m. this Wednesday, Sept. 27 in St. Cloud.
