Cyclones earn 2 more wins

Wednesday the Cyclones hosted Rochester Community and Technical College and finished 3-1.  Kyra Harvey, sophomore outside hitter from Sauk Rapids, led in kills with 13.  Sophomore setter from St Cloud Apollo, Kalli Mathiasen, ran the offense with 41 set assists.  Chelsea Schroeder, sophomore libero from Rocori, defended the back court with 25 digs.  First year middle from Big Lake, Anastasia Larson, led in blocks with 4.

Friday the Blue Devils from Riverland Community College traveled to St Cloud but the Cyclones earned a 3-0 win.  Kalie Jergens, sophomore outside hitter from Becker, led in kills with 9 while Mathiasen racked up 25 set assists.  Rachel Boros, first year defensive specialist from Little Falls, led with 11 digs.  Harvey and Larson defended the net with 4 blocks each.

The Cyclones are now 15-3 overall, 8-0 in the MCAC South and remain ranked #4 in the national poll.  The Cyclones travel to Fergus Falls to take on the Spartans on Wednesday and host Western Tech on Friday, October 6th at 6:30pm at the Whitney Center, which will be their Dig Pink Night.
