On the road this week Cyclones finish 2-1

Wednesday the Cyclones traveled to Dakota County and were victorious against the Division II Blue Knights 3-0.  Stat leaders from the match include Kalli Mathiasen, sophomore setter from Apollo, earning 46 set assists.  Kyra Harvey, sophomore outside hitter from Sauk Rapids, and Kalie Jergens, sophomore outside hitter from Becker, each recording 14 kills. Sophomore libero from Rocori, Chelsea Schroeder, accumulated 25 digs.  Cori Nelson, sophomore defensive specialist from Sauk Center, added 2 service aces and Anastasia Larson, first year middle from Big Lake, accrued 6 blocks.

The Cyclones traveled to Austin, MN on Friday and faced Riverland with a 3-0 victory.  Harvey led in kills with 12 while Mathiasen earned 36 set assists and 4 service aces.  Schroeder earned 27 digs, Larson and Kaitlyn Johnson, sophomore rightside hitter from Crosby-Ironton, each earned 3 blocks.

Saturday the Cyclones took on the Yellowjackets at Rochester but fell 1-3.  Jergens led in kills with 21 and digs with 26.   Mathiasen earned 45 set assists and Larson held strong at the net with 5 blocks. 

The Cyclones are 18-5 overall, 10-2 in the MCAC South and ranked #5 nationally.  The Cyclones travel to Ridgewater on Wednesday and Anoka on Thursday for the MCAC Crossover Tourney.
