2-0 MCAC South Start for the Cyclones

Wednesday the Cyclones traveled to Anoka to face the Golden Rams in the first conference match of the season.  The Cyclones controlled the match in 3 sets; 25-16, 25-22, 25-10. Running the offense first years setters Jenna Scott, from Holdingford, and Paige Serbus, from Redwood Valley, each earned 12 set assists.  Kill leader, Rilee Hohbein, first year middle from Holdingford, had 9 while Serbus and Tori Nelson, first year defensive specialist from New-London Spicer, each collected 4 service aces.  First year libero from Howard Lake- Waverly, Macee Streich, defended the back court with 16 digs. 

The Cyclones hosted the Cavaliers from Western Tech on Friday, earning a W; 25-21, 25-13, 25-14. Stat leaders include Grace Mauersberger with 13 kills, and Streich with 26 digs.  Scott and Serbus earned a combined 29 set assists while Scott, Serbus and Megan Schoborg, first year outside from St Cloud Tech HS, all earned 2 service aces. 

The Cyclones hold an overall 6-2 record and are 2-0 in the MCAC South.  SCTCC hosts M-State Fergus Falls on Wednesday, September 12th at 6:30pm at the Whitney Center for another MCAC South match up.
