Cyclone Volleyball Season Complete

The 2018 St Cloud Technical and Community College Volleyball team traveled to Rochester as the #4 seed in the MCAC South Region Tournament and faced RCTC, the #1 seed who is ranked #3 nationally in the NJCAA.

The Cyclones fell in 3 sets; 13-25, 14-25, 18-25.  Stat leaders for the Cyclones included Grace Mauersberger, first year outside hitter from St Michael-Albertville, and Megan Schoborg, first year outside hitter from St Cloud Tech, with 6 kills each.  First year setters, Jenna Scott from Holdingford, and Paige Serbus from Redwood Valley, earned a combined 21 set assists.  Libero, Tori Nelson, first year from New London-Spicer, earned 9 digs.  Schoborg also scored 2 aces and Mauersberger collected 2 blocks.   Jenna Scott also earned All-Tournament Team honors. 

The Cyclones completed their season with a record of 11-12. Coach Heidi Smith in her 8th season states, "I am very proud of this team.  They are a hard working, coachable group with great energy.  Having an all first year team this year, the future looks bright."
