Cyclones earn 3 W's this week

The Cyclones went 3-0 this week bringing their record to 11-3, 7-2 in the MCAC South. The Cyclones received votes in this week's NJCAA D3 National Poll. Wednesday the Cyclones traveled to Dakota County Technical and Community and came home with a 3-0 victory, 25-23, 25-17, 25-22. Friday the Cyclones hosted MN West Community and Technical College and took the Jays in 5, 24-26, 28-26, 25-21, 22-25, 16-14. Saturday the Cyclones beat Riverland Community College in 3 sets, 25-20, 25-22, 25-17.

Dakota County stat leaders include:
Kills- MaKenna Gross, first year outside hitter from Foley, 12, and Karissa Lintgen, first year outside hitter from St Cloud Tech HS, 9
Set Assists- First year setters Maddie Beumer, from Annandale, and Makayla Balder, from Onamia, combined for 29
Digs- Gross with 17, Allison Fritz, first year libero from Norwood Young America, 16
Blocks- Lintgen and Maggie Kohl, first year middle from Robinsdale Cooper, both earned 2
Service Aces- Brynn Johnson, middle from Paynesville, 2

MN West stat leaders include:
Kills- Lintgen 23, and Maya Workman, first year rightside hitter from Sartell, earned 15
Set Assists- Beumer and Balder combined for 53
Digs- Fritz with 42, which breaks the record she set in week 1 for most digs in a match
Blocks- Sara Geiser, first year rightside hitter from Minnewaska, earned 2
Service Aces- Balder 7

Riverland stat leaders include:
Kills- Johnson with 15, followed by Lintgen with 12
Set Assists- Beumer and Balder combined for 35
Digs- Fritz  32
Blocks- Johnson earned 2
Service Aces- Beumer  2

The Cyclones travel to Century College on Wednesday, October 6th and host Western Technical College on Friday, October 8th, 6:30pm at the St Cloud Whitney Center.
