Cyclones ranked #9 in latest poll, face key MCAC games this week

The Cyclones Men's Basketball team comes in at #9 in the latest NJCAA poll released today.  After Saturday, the Cyclones will have a better idea of where they stand in the MCAC South.  Thursday, the Cyclones host the Conference leaders Riverland CC.  The Blue Devils have been on a roll in the MCAC winning 5 in a row after losing their conference opener at Rochester CTC.  The Cyclones enter Thursday's game one game behind Riverland at 4-2 after defeating Western Tech last Saturday.  The Cyclones and Blue Devils tip at 7:30pm.  The game will be played at SJU's Sexton Arena.

 

Following Thursday's matchup, the Cyclones will have one day off before traveling to Coon Rapids, to take on Anoka Ramsey CC.  This begins the second round of the conference schedule.  The Golden Rams defeated the Cyclones in the conference opener 84-82 thrilling finish.  The Golden Rams hold a 3-3 conference record going into their game Thursday night against Ridgewater College.  5 teams are within 2 games of the conference lead.
