Haider named Player of the Week
Cyclones Guard, Dillon Haider (Melrose, MN) was named MCAC Southern Division player of the week for his efforts in helping the Cyclones to a 2-0 week last week. In Wednesday's contest against Rochester, Haider led the Cyclones with 16 points playing through foul trouble for much of the game. The 75-70 victory over the Yellowjackets finished off the season sweep of Rochester and brought the Cyclones into a tie for the conference lead with Riverland.
Saturday, Haider and the Cyclones picked up a hard fought road victory against Minnesota West. Haider again led the Cyclones in scoring with 22 points in the 78-71 win over the Blue Jays.
The Cyclones have two huge home games this week. Wednesday, the Cyclones host Ridgewater College. It's a Green Out along with Faculty/Staff Appreciation night. Tip for the Men's game is slated for 7:45pm. Saturday, the Cyclones play their last home game of the season against M-State Fergus Falls. The Spartans defeated the Cyclones in Fergus Falls, 73-71 on January 23rd. The Men's game is scheduled to tip at 3pm at Whitney Center Saturday.
