The SCTCC men's basketball team completed the 2018 portion of their schedule on Tuesday (12/11) by beating the St. John's University reserve team 78-73.  The win moved the #8 ranked Cyclones to 9-0 on the season.  The 9-game win streak is the second longest in Coach Cone's tenure as the head coach of the Cyclones, just behind the 10-0 mark to start the 2013-14 season.

SCTCC found itself in a hole to start the game against the Johnnies, down 34-32 at the half.  A strong second half from beyond the arc, led by freshman guard Daniel Gardner who supplied four second half 3's, sparked the team to the win.  Freshman Dillon Haider led the Cyclones with 20 points, including going 5-7 from three.  Freshman Taye Carter added 12 points and 11 rebounds.  Overall, five Cyclones scored in double figures. The Cyclones will finish up the remainder of their non-conference schedule by competing in the Spartan Classic Friday, January 4th and Saturday, January 5th in Fergus Falls, MN.
