Cyclones WBB finish the non-conference Schedule

Cyclones finish the non-conference part of the season with a 3 win 9 loss record. The wins all were achieved in different ways. The first win against Vermillion CC was a 75 - 47 start to finish victory. 4 starters finished in double figures. Shania Nahring finished with a game high 22pts. Kiara Coops finished with a 19 and 19 double double. The next victory came against Itasca 60 - 59, was a game winning shot with 5 seconds left in the game. It was a back and forth game with both teams going on several runs throughout the game. Itasca missed 2 of 3 free throws. Then after a timeout, Kiara Coops makes a layup to take the lead by 1 and finishe the game. The last victory came against Mesabi Range CC redeeming an earlier season double overtime loss. The Cyclones maintained the lead throughout the game. Mesabi made a strong push in the 4th quarter cutting the lead to 8 pts. The Cyclones maintained the the and completed the 59 - 45 victory. Kiara Coops led the way with 17 pts. Abbie Wuertz also contributed a game high 5 3 pt field goals.
